On May 24,  2012, Sojourner Truth Multicultural Art Museum showcased an “Evening with the Arts” at Parkway Elementary School. Works of art was featured by students from Parkway Elementary, Phoenix Park Community and Rosa Parks Junior High. Sojo Staff and Artists have been working diligently over the past eight months with these youth to prepare them for this exhibit. Their work is inspired by historical artists, such as: Georgia O’Keefe, Diego Rivera, Romare Bearden, Jackson Pollock, Picasso, and William H. Johnson. The exhibit was amazing and students had an opportunity to present their leadership skills by acting as docents for the evening.
