On May 16 – 20, 2012, the Sojourner Truth Multicultural Art Museum showcased an exhibit entitled,  ”A Woman Named Sojourner,” at the San Francisco Fine Art Fair, an international art show held at Fort Mason, CA.

Sojo volunteers and artists had an opportunity to connect with people from the Bay area, Hong Kong, Europe, and even people close to home (Davis and Sacramento). The venue provided an opportunity for individuals to learn about Sojourner Truth and her contributions to humanity.

The buzz that kept everyone excited was the opportunity to see Actor Will Smith come through the doors to pick up a beautiful painting of Muhammad Ali (see photo below). Sojo featured artists included: Daphnee Burgess, Joe Pollakoff, Ollie McDaniels, Joyce Forest, Christina-Miguel Mullen, and Shonna McDaniels.
